She gives Candace a pep talk and reminding her that her desire to bust her brothers is solely due to wishing to protect them from harming themselves, and that it's an act of love. Another, hallucinated Candace appears in the puddle and begins talking to Candace. The song ends with the crowd disappointingly dispersing after Balthazar Horowitz openly asks if Candace is "that weird girl who wants to bust her bros?" Candace is once again alone, left to reflect on herself as she stares into a puddle. Various citizens get involved in the song, starting to reflect on who they are, too. It begins to rain, and she sings Who Am I, Really?. Candace is saddened by her inability to help anyone, and sadly wanders around Danville. She scares people with her suddenness, making them run away. Candace thanks Stacy for being honest, and then sets out to be a helpful and selfless person as her summer goal.Ī an upbeat remix of the Quirky Work Song plays as Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet try to cheer up the boys during a montage, but to no avail.Ĭandace goes out to the streets and runs up to various bystanders, asking to help them. Stacy consoles Candace, telling her that she isn't necessarily shallow, but that she can be sometimes due to her often obsessive personality, specifically ignoring others just to bust her brothers. Stacy tries to give an indifferent response, only for Candace to start crying. The three then crowd around on the opposite side of the yard from the boys and try to come up with a scheme to cheer up them up.Ĭandace calls Stacy, asking her if she sees her as a shallow person. Buford suggests Perry is living a peaceful life in the "big old Platypus habitat in the sky," resulting in a silencing from Isabella and Baljeet. Carl suggests giving the squirrel a job, but Monogram chews Carl out for the suggestion by stating his poor suggestions are why he's still an unpaid intern.Īs Phineas stares longingly into the sky, Isabella pats him on the back and tries to convince him everything will be okay, and that Perry is probably fine. An excited Monogram suddenly appears on the huge monitor in the room greeting Perry, only to grow extremely sad when he realize it is not Perry, but instead a random squirrel. It falls through a series of tubes and lands in what was once Perry's lair, now abandoned and full of dust. Meanwhile, a random squirrel falls into one of Perry's former lair entrances. Everyone is shocked by Buford's claim, including Candace who runs off crying as she questions everything about herself. Buford snaps at Candace, telling her that Phineas and Ferb are too distraught to deal with her own fragile insecurities and that she's only trying to bust them because she sees them as easy targets and wants to feel better about herself. The boys' friends begin to comfort them but are interrupted by Candace kicking open the backdoor and announcing her plans to bust the boys, triumphantly gloating and bragging about her previous close attempts. Phineas laments that nothing has been the same since their pet platypus Perry went missing during the school year. Both sigh, then rest their heads in their hands. The boys then start to sink to the ground with their backs lying against their iconic backyard tree. Ferb grabs a screwdriver, and likewise, gets hit with a sudden case of sadness. However, when Phineas picks up a wrench from his toolbox, he suddenly feels a pang of sadness hit him. Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet carry some tools to the boys as the song reaches its end. The entire gang sings along to the song, eventually appearing back home in their backyard. While flying back home, the boys are joined by Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet. Phineas requests musical accompaniment and the band begins playing the new theme song, This Summer is Gonna Rock. At at a certain point the boys encounter Bowling For Soup and share an exchange with them. The boys fly by various characters including Farmer and Farmer's Wife, Meap, and Love Händel. The desks transform to reveal jets, and then the devices begin auto piloting the brothers back home. The classroom carries the boys outside to the schoolyard, where they both press a button on their desks. As the students crowd around, they lift the desks of Phineas and Ferb who then light up with delighted expressions. A bell goes off and the surrounding students begin to cheer and form a crowd. The boys get tests passed back to them, Ferb receiving a 110% while Phineas receives a 109%. Phineas and Ferb are sitting in class looking visibly null and empty.
